I get that she was a victim. I get that. What happened to Gillian was horrifying and while it, to an extent, explains why she ~is the way she is~ it doesn’t justify what she has done and is still doing.

I stopped feeling sorry for her when she continues the cycle of abuse that was perpetuated upon her and then began to victimize her own son, thus emotionally crippling Jimmy and royally fucking up his entire life/psyche. 

Sure, Gillian has moments of being a fierce bitch and again I’m not downplaying the fact that she went through some horrible shit, and also that she had a baby when she was literally only a child herself. I GET ALL OF THAT. 

Guys, this isn’t a sexy relationship. It is the same thing as shipping 13-year old Gillian with 50+ year old Commodore. Jimmy is a victim. I’ve never been terribly fond of Gillian’s character, and I think that this episode finally made it clear why, and vocalized all the horrible, toxic, fucked-up qualities that make up her relationship with her son.

Yes. All of this. I’ve been thinking a lot about it since Sunday, and once I got over the whole “oh my god Jimmy fucked his Mom” thing I realized there wasn’t really any consent going on. I would say it’s likely Jimmy was actually raped because Gillian was in a position of extreme trust for him. She manipulated that trust he had with her, saying “oh, it’s ok there’s nothing wrong with this” when in reality it was very, very wrong. There is absolutely nothing sexy or moving about a parent using their child in that way. Especially considering that Gillian ruined Jimmy’s life the same way the Commodore ruined hers. This isn’t a Wincest thing y’all, it’s disgustingly tragic and not in a good way.

There is nothing sexy or good about what happened. Gillian has been and still is clearly in the wrong. 

That’s a mother right there you guys. A mother is supposed to love her child, what she did wasn’t love. It was self-centered and immoral. And just disturbing.

I understand that she has issues, but she was supposed to be the adult in that situation. And no matter what you’re supposed to put the needs of your child before your own. Now I don’t know what Jimmy’s feelings on this…interaction were. But clearly, he has been haunted and affected by what happened.

And it’s wrong for this woman to pretend like nothing happened, even go as far as insinuating that she wants to continue it! That……no. Someone get her a Sassy Gay Friend, cause that bitch is stupid and crazy.
